Zhuhai Harbor Industrial Zone

The Zhuhai Harbor Industrial Zone, located in the west of Zhuhai, was listed as one of the four key development areas of Guangdong Province in 1992.Occupying 100 sq km, it has one of the country's key coastal ports, which is cited as a State Class A port. The deep and extensive harbor expanse, and ample resources of land and water provide a sound environment for the operation of chemical and energy industries, and dock warehousing. The actual use of foreign investment in this Zone has reached US$2 billion.

Located in the west part of Zhuhai City and with a planned area of 64.44 square kilometers, Zhuhai Harbor Industrial Zone will have key developments in large-scale industries of energy, petrochemical, machinery and warehousing. Zhuhai Port, which is within its jurisdiction, is one of the hub harbors in southern China and a national Grade A port. Zhuhai Port now has two 20,000-ton class berths for bulky goods and containers, one 80,000-ton, one 50,000-ton and two 5,000-ton class berths for liquefied gas and chemical products as well as subordinated storage zone and two 50,000-ton class coal berths.
