On contributing technology to become shareholders

The scientific and technical personnel of the scientific research institutes and institutions of higher learning as well as any other holders of technological achievements both at home and abroad are encouraged to contribute their technology to become shareholders and establish businesses in the Hi-Tech Zone.


The scientific and technical personnel of the scientific research institutes and institutions of higher learning as well as any other holders of technological achievements are allowed to establish hi-tech businesses with their non-post technological achievements as share equity, and they are allowed to assume such posts as corporate directors, supervisors and managers.


When a software enterprise is registered, the copyright of software products, technical know-how and patents can be priced as shares in accordance with the provisions of the "Rules of Zhuhai on Contributing Technological Achievements to Become Shareholders and on Related Royalty", and the percentage of such contribution can be 35% of the registered capital; for those software technologies and products with tremendous market potential and high added-value, the percentage of such contribution in the registered capital can be determined by the investors themselves.


For common technological achievements, their equity percentage in the registered capital of the company shall not exceed 20%; the equity ratio for hi-tech achievements can reach 35% of the registered capital of the company.
