Zhuhai has 170 kindergartens, 192 primary schools, 53 middle schools,14 vocational schools. In order to carry out the strategy of revitalizing the city with science and education, Zhuhai has planned a zone of 160,000 square meters in Tangjiawan Town in the east part for the construction of the university campus. In the past three years, Zhongshan University, Jinan University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing Normal University and other universities and colleges had settled down in Zhuhai, with the total students of 20,000 from all parts of China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other overseas countries in 2002.According to the university campus zone plan, the total number of in-school students will be between 80,000 - 100,000.




Meanwhile, many famous universities such as Tsinghua Science Park, Harbin Institute of Technology New Economic Resources Development Harbor have set up research bases in Zhuhai, thus forming the University-Campus-Science Creative Coast.
Zhuhai has 15 secondary vocational schools to train talents for Zhuhai, covering computer application, electric automation, electric technology application, marketing, enterprise management, auto maintenance, tourism, medical information, bio-pharmaceuticals, medical care and etc.
International schools
QSI International School of Zhuhai was founded in 1999, and its textbooks and course setups originate from the United States. Invested and managed by QSI International School Management Co., Ltd., it enrolls the children of aliens and offers courses to children aged 6-13. Students have to go to schools in Macao for the middle school education and it only takes 30-minutes to go there
